If you are brand new to yoga, welcome! Traditionally yoga was created to forge a relationship between the body, the mind and the breath. From the root word “yuj” meaning to join, this includes building stronger relationships with ourselves, and those around us. The practice consists of postures to strengthen the physical body, support flexibility and balance, maintain a supple spine and healthy organ function. Breathing practices designed to still the mind offer us meaningful time tested tools to react to life’s circumstances in positive, healthy ways.
